这个九月工作室画廊很高兴邀请到了十一位中国当代女性青年艺术家，呈现群展 「借体 Somatic Attunement 」。本次展览以艺术家们细腻的“材料观”为线索，将成为工作室画廊新空间开启以来所呈现的第一个雕塑展。展览将于9月12日开幕，并持续展出至10月17日。
心理分析中有“肢体调谐”Embodied Attunement之说：分析师调动自身的活性和自觉体会他人的身体，产生情感共振。诊疗中，分析师要超越意识感知的惯常，抢先识别感受的细枝末节从而与患者互动。能否借用这个疗法对症艺术观看中对材料敏感的失语呢？从感受到意识的间层中，艺术家调拨着，借物的层次表演自身，以自身体感识别物的表情。
这个过程就像“调谐”作为另一个术语所说的：调节一个振荡电磁波的频率使它与另一个振荡中的电磁波发生谐振。在杂音中搜寻电台要用指头的手感辨析波段，艺术家在辨析物料从天然肤感到文化符号的历程中，用对物料、空间的通感捕捉想象、意向，一步步折射出感受-觉知-意象-概念的不同步调。
“图像思考”经常用来描述艺术家与语言逻辑抗衡的思维模型。相比之下，在材料中思考的“肌理思维”进一步物化。这个展览中的十一位创作者/团体从不同的主题切入她们的实践，从语义，从恋物，从具身的自我意识，从性别惯例，从反对性别惯例的社会工作，从肌理记忆，从维护或挑战媒介的劳动步骤中形成物体的不同质地。她们各自的频率在同一场域中互相侵染、干扰和协作，展示出一个以材料思考推动的雕塑实践的切片。试探能否用充分的躯体过程填充雕塑物空洞的框架，逃脱理论的陷阱，绕过装置奇观。

This September Studio Gallery is thrilled to invite 11 Chinese female young artists to present the group exhibition "Somatic Attachment". This exhibition takes the artists' exquisite "material view" as the clue to form the first sculpture exhibition since the opening of Studio Gallery's new space. The exhibition will open on Sep 12th and continue until Oct 17th.
“Somatic Attunement” is a way in psychoanalytic therapy, which requires the analyst to be highly aware of her/his own bodily sensations to be able to resonate and interact with the client’s feelings, the analyst needs to capture and recognize the very subtle sensations, and go beyond the convention of conception to identify them. Since the way that artists talking to their materials has been kept a mystery for the viewers including many art critics, it is inspired to know this therapy and to borrow its idea to assist in understanding how artists analyzing materials in art experiments.
Under the name and function of a substance, artists search the different layers of meaning and essence, they provoke and weave the paralleled clews from the material and psychological worlds, and attach them to the outside circumstances. Therefore, the "textural thinking" can be seen as the logic of certain artists’ process-oriented practice. It is a textural version of "Image thinking”, as well as a competitor with linguistic logics of thoughts.
In this exhibition, 11 artists angle their art practice differently in terms of subjecting but in dialog with each other in terms of textual thinking. Their respective working frequencies invade, interfere, and cooperate with each other in the same field, showing a slice of sculptural practice driven by material experiment and process.
